Stuart Hazeldine, UK based writer and successful Hollywood Screenwriter Event...

This is an exciting event for writers and directors who aspire to Hollywood movies -  screenwriter Stuart Hazeldine will share with you how to be a successful writer in Hollywood, while living in the UK.

He should know, he has sold several scripts and polished or reworked many many more. Plus, two scripts of his have just gone into production, one with Nic Cage, the other with Keanu Reeves!

His knowledge of how to navigate the Hollywood jungle is extensive and for anyone wanting to carve a career in major commercial narrative features, this event is essential.

THIS SEMINAR IS NOT ABOUT HOW TO WRITE THE GREAT SCRIPT... BUT HOW THE SCRIPT BUSINESS REALLY WORKS!

The event will cover…

How the Hollywood Spec Script Market works… in detail
How much you can earn and how to manage your self and your projects
How to get an agent in LA and what that can do for you
How to write for Hollywood so they like what you write – or – how to get hired for the next job too!
The truth about being a writer… is it for you?
Writing as a way in to directing
And I am sure much more….

Here’s Stuarts brief bio…

Stuart sold his first screenplay, UNDERGROUND, to British producers Jeremy Bolt and Paul Trijbits in 1995. Soon afterwards he signed with a major Hollywood talent agency and has been writing scripts for the studios ever since.

In 2003 he wrote the Sci-Fi Channel TV movie RIVERWORLD and his first two feature films have just gone into production: the supernatural thriller KNOWING starring Nicolas Cage, which he co-wrote for director Alex Proyas (DARK CITY, I, ROBOT) and Summit Entertainment, and a remake of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL starring Keanu Reeves and Jennifer Connelly, which he rewrote for director Scott Derrickson (THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE) and 20th Century Fox.

His other projects in development include an adaptation of Milton’s PARADISE LOST for Derrickson and Legendary Pictures, plus co-writing an adaptation of THE TRIPODS TRILOGY with Proyas for Paramount Pictures. He lives in London.

The event will cost £6.

As usual, there will be plenty of time for drinks, chats and networking with other film makers and writers after the event, which will conclude at 10.30. We anticipate a sell out evening, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
